AjaxWrite is an excellent tool for those folks without access to Microsoft Word (which is entirely too expensive) who need to do up or view a Word document quickly.

You can use AjaxWrite to open, edit, and create Word docs - all you need is an Internet connection and a browser (Firefox preferred). Enjoy!

NOTE: If you require full-time word processing power, go get OpenOffice!

Safer Web Surfing

I came across this free service the other day that installs a plug-in into your web browser and lets you know if the pages you are surfing to are safe or not.

I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I find it quite helpful, especially if you are doing Google searches and are unsure about which links you should click on.

I think this is a good tool for you parents out there to install so your kids don’t “accidentally” surf to pages they shouldn’t. NOTE: This plug-in does not stop you from surfing to those sites, but at the very least you have a visual warning that you should use caution.

To give this new web browser plug-in a try, surf on over to http://www.siteadvisor.com/preview/, read through their site, then download it.
